The northeaster that just ended last night brought a lot of rain to the tri-state area. - Oct 24

The northeaster that just ended last night brought a lot of rain to the tri-state area. During these rainy periods outdoor mold spore counts can skyrocket. Alternaria mold spores peak in the fall season particularly after a heavy rainfall. It is important to run hepa-filters in your home to remove any mold spores. Also you should run dehumidifiers to reduce the mold’s ability to grow in your home. Alternaria mold is a common trigger for asthma so it is important for patients with asthma or respiratory conditions to address this early so as not to exasperate their symptoms.
